bespoke healing + prayer
Monday, January 18, 2010 The words healing and prayer are really one in the same for me, both verbs and on the well lit end of the VHF spectrum, expansive with focus and dedication. I am a firm believer that healing and prayer can take place anywhere and the rocket fuel is all in the pure intention behind it, nondenominational.
I remember being very young and praying every night in bed. I felt compelled to pray for each and every member of my family, pets and every person I knew; probably falling asleep before completing roll call of the whole small town. Well, not much has changed, only now there are so many more people on the list. I have adopted the Gilligan's Island first song version with and-the-rest, to keep you covered. And beginning with the words thanks for seems to be working - if you're asking. And there is no right or wrong way to pray. It's one of those things you just can't do wrong.

Now, if you plan on dressing for the healing occasion, this dress stopped me in my tracks, embroidered with elastoplasts or band aids. That neckline will surely heal the worst of all illnesses, or give you fever if you don't already have one.
I prefer hands on healing with reiki rather than the stethoscope method. Tools of the healing trade, crystals; here a huge 80lb. jacare smoky quartz crystal which is a bit big for a ring or a necklace and would probably require a grounding wire. It's more for your healing room. This is nothing new. Healing with crystals is an ancient technique and very powerful. Just be sure to clear crystals regularly. Rain, sunshine and moonlight work very well for a cleanse and recharge.

I stumbled upon St. Bartholomew's holy interpretation by Jakub Berdych in CZ., lined with bespoke white cross Panton chairs by Eames. The design has raised eyebrows, questioning the appropriateness of modern aesthetic in such a setting. It doesn't bother me. Again, heal and pray anywhere you like. I like the thought of St. Barts though, the island. Amen.

I don't go to church - or practice an organized religion... but I must say, if my church looked like that, I'd visit often. Gorgeous. I love the marriage of old and new.
the great thing about praying is it can be done anywhere you are, with those lux sheepskins underfoot.
